COVID-19 WEEKLY WEDNESDAY UPDATE

AAFP TOWN HALL TONIGHT AT 7PM

I hope you enjoyed some rest and time with your family to help you recharge while honoring our fallen heroes of all services. We look forward to continuing along the Restore Illinois path towards gradual re-opening after the stay at home order expires on Friday May 29.

As you know, the Illinois General Assembly finally reconvened last Wednesday through Saturday (past midnight into Sunday morning) to finish as much of the state’s business as possible, especially adopting the budget for the next fiscal year. While a state budget was passed, efforts to make telehealth programs and parity payments permanent were not included. Supporters will ask Governor Pritzker to extend his current order through December 31, 2020. Link to the testimony that IAFP submitted on telehealth. More details coming up in this Friday’s e-news.
